Staffordshire Ecological Record (SER)

SER is the Local Environmental Records Centre covering the Staffordshire BAP area. It collects, collates and validates biological records from organised surveys, local recording groups and most importantly the general public to build up a picture of Staffordshire's biodiversity.

At the end of 2007 SER held around 750,000 individual records from flowers to fleas and birds to bumblebees and actively liaises with the following groups to create a series of online interactive distribution atlases:
  • South and East Staffordshire Bat Group
  • Staffordshire Amphibian and Reptile Group
  • Staffordshire Badger Group
  • Staffordshire Bat Group
  • Staffordshire Bryophyte Group
  • Staffordshire Invertebrate Group
  • Staffordshire Mammal Group
  • Staffordshire Moth Group
  • West Midland Bird Club
